WhatsApp now functions in over 180 countries. Only countries that forbid/have imposed restrictions on WhatsApp use are; China, North Korea, Syria, Qatar and the UAE. However, there are ways to unlock WhatsApp and VoIP services in Qatar and other countries as well.

WhatsApp phone and video call services have, due to low cost, been a boon to users rich and poor, in developed and developing countries, among Christians Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, Parsis, Jews, Jains, and followers of Taoism, the Baháʼí Faith, Confucianism, Shinto and Atheists alike. The motto of these Universities is Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam ( The world is one family). The WhatsAppians like many educated and uneducated Indians are happy with two words “वसुधैव कुटुंबकम ( Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam)” only; the second half of the second line of the Shloka. First half of the second line is उदार चरितानाम ( Udar Charitanam) meaning those who are generous, liberal and benevolent etc. “only for them” the world is one family. They do not bother to know and understand the meaning of full shloka!

There is no regulator for these universities. They operate on the basis of self-regulation which essentially means no regulation.

Of late many self-appointed examiners who call themselves “ Fact Checkers” occasionally check the Gyan ( wisdom) dished out but overall WhatsApp university channels operate as free for all operations.

1- Ownership of a whatsapp compatible phone

2- Free time

3- Ability to forward messages

4- Those who can comment, add, critique messages received from others get admitted to honours degree courses.

5- No fees are to be paid except your phone data service charges.
