I wonder about the many dimensions of existence that I am only now beginning to truly notice. Yet the fundamental question remains: Who am I? Perhaps I will never know for certain. Or perhaps I do know, but simply cannot express it fully. So am I only “that” which I can express? And what about…
While in Gurgaon we live in a flat — or what the westerners call an apartment — in a multi-storey middle-class gated community having five towers in Sector 52, Gurgaon, not far from Huda Metro station. Life here is usually peaceful and routine despite the residents, RWA and builder engaging in never-ending disputes. But middle-class…
Dr. K.V. Raju, from the second batch of IRMA, who also taught at IRMA and later became the first Director of the Development Management Institute, Patna, shared a video on WhatsApp a few days ago. He is a dear friend of mine. I hadn’t opened it until today. Please click on this link to watch…

I’m sorry I did not respond sooner — I find forgetfulness increases with age. Gratitude (कृतज्ञता) is a quality that distinguishes a human from other animals, though some domesticated animals…
In the internet era, TRP (Television Rating Points) can make people do just about anything 😂. Here in the Indian subcontinent—our beloved Hindustan—internet access is easy and dirt cheap. The TRP game runs on a massive scale. You won’t find many eager to toil in the fields, but there’s an abundance of folks dreaming of…
Listening to this song is a profoundly emotional experience. I can’t quite explain why it resonates with me so deeply. This song gives me goosebumps, and I feel like an emotional fool for it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Not many of us may remember “Girmitiya,” a Hindi/Bhojpuri term used…
